Airport AICM
Getting to the City from the Airport Ignore those who approach you in the arrivals hall offering taxis;
they are usually unlicensed and unauthorized. Authorized airport taxis,
however, provide good, fast service. After exiting the baggage-claim area
and before entering the public concourse (as well as near the far end of
the terminal near Gate A), you'll see a booth marked TAXI. Staff members
at these authorized taxi booths wear bright-yellow jackets or bibs emblazoned
with TAXI AUTORIZADO (authorized taxi). Tell the ticket seller your hotel or destination;
the price is based on a zone system. Expect to pay around 300 pesos for a boleto (ticket)
to Polanco. Present your ticket outside to the driver. Taxi "assistants" who lift your
luggage into the waiting taxi expect a tip for their trouble. Putting your luggage in
the taxi is the driver's job.

By bus - Buses to Teotihuacán leave from Mexico City about every half hour from two locations:

A one-way ticket will cost $35 pesos.

----

Terminal Autobuses del Norte (outside Autobuses del Norte Metro station, Line 5)
..YOUTUBE_Terminal Central de Autobuses del Norte..
From Terminal del Norte, walk towards Gate 8. There is a ticket booth almost at the end of the concourse.
Check that your bus goes to the site entrance of Teotihuacán ruinas and not just to the town of San Juan Teotihuacán nearby.

----

From outside the Potrero Metro station (Line 3).
From Potrero, exit the station and look for white buses that go to Piramides -- they mean the pyramids of Teotihuacán.
The trip will take around an hour, and the buses run until about 6pm -- check the last departure before you leave.
You will be dropped off and picked up at Puerta 2 (Closest to the Pyramid of the Sun), or by the front gate.
From there it's a 1/8th of a mile down the main road entering the complex, you will be picked up there as well.

The only way to get out of the area is by bus back to México City.
They come by the entrance every 30 minutes or so outside of the parking lot for entrance #2 ("Puerta 2").

By Bus -- Buses leave daily every half-hour (5am-10pm)
from the Terminal Central de Autobuses del Norte;
the trip takes 1 hour and costs about 25 pesos round-trip.
When you reach the Terminal Norte, look for the AUTOBUSES SAHAGUN
(buses headed in the direction of Sahagun, Hidalgo) sign at the far northwest end,
all the way down to the sign 8 ESPERA.
Be sure to ask the driver where you should wait for returning buses,
how frequently buses run, and especially the time of the last bus back.
